Motherfuckers JMB & Co. (named after a Xhol Caravan album title, look it up) are an avant-garde trio of guitar, drums and hurdy-gurdy from the general Washington D.C. corridor. One could describe them as a supergroup specializing in krautrock's motorik rhythms and psychedelic drone atmospheres a la Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized featuring the lineup of Brian Weitz (aka Geologist from Animal Collective), Jim Thomson (drummer from GWAR), and Marc Minsker (bassist and guitarist who has played with Eugene Chadbourne). Their debut album is called "Music Excitement Action Beauty", and all four of those things are promised at this show.
$12 advance, $15 at the door, all ages.
