Caroling March
5pm
This Friday! Come out and invite a friend! We’ll have hand warmers, face masks, lanterns, printed song lyrics, and lots of community support.
This year, more than twice as many Pittsburghers died experiencing homelessness as compared to last year.
We will gather just before 5:00 at the Christmas Village downtown, at Penn & 7th Avenue. We’ll hear from a few opening speakers then march for about 30 minutes while singing some remixed Christmas carols, critiquing the dehumanization of people experiencing homelessness in Pittsburgh this time of year.
Come support our neighbors in solidarity and join the Our Streets Collective hot meal distro on Second Avenue immediately following the march. There, you can connect directly with and help support real friends and neighbors in need.
Dm us for an advance copy of song lyrics, or questions about how to support materially if you can’t be there in person. Thanks to our partners at Cityview Church, @pghdsa @pittsburghcpusa, May Day marching band, @pghlaborchoir, Pittsburgh Raging Grannies, PA Non Violent Medicaid Army, the PGH chapter of the National Union of the Homeless and our regional @nationalunionofthehomeless supporters. We can’t wait to see you all there! Dress warm!
